Smelting process and properties of alumina hollow spheres

Alumina hollow spheres use industrial alumina as raw material, and can be made into very light alumina hollow spheres by electromelt blowing. The lightweight refractory insulation brick made of this kind of hollow sphere can be used for the lining of high-temperature furnaces that are in direct contact with the flame. So what are the smelting process and properties of alumina hollow spheres?

Alumina hollow sphere production process:

1. Industrial alumina with an alumina content of more than 98% is melted in a three-phase electric arc furnace.

2. Compressed air blows molten aluminum oxide into hollow balls.

3. Select good balls to ensure that the breaking rate is within 10%.

4. Screen out different models.

5. Pack and store.

Properties of alumina hollow balls:

1. The production process of alumina hollow spheres is roughly as follows: first, the alumina raw material is put into a pouring electric arc furnace and melted into a liquid state, then the furnace is tilted at a certain angle, so that the melt flows out from the pouring trough at a certain speed, and the liquid Flow through the flat nozzle at 60°~90° to the stream and blow the liquid flow with a high-speed airflow with a pressure of 0.6~0.8MPa to form a hollow aluminum oxide ball.

2. Alumina hollow spheres are a new type of high-temperature insulation material, and the crystal form is a-Al2O3 microcrystals. With Zhengzhou alumina hollow sphere as the main body, it can be made into products of various shapes. The service temperature can reach 1800 degrees Celsius. The mechanical strength of the product is high, which is several times that of general light products, and the volume density is only half of that of corundum products. .
